You are correct. The Left for years has waxed poetic about Stalin, Mao, Fidel, the Viet Cong, Che, and every murderous tin pot power mad leader of their favorite ideology. And Conservatives have rightly called them on it. We owe the same duty and respect to truth when one of ours lets lies like this leave their mouths. Even if it the President. Even more so since we have no misguided illusions about Communism and Socialism.
I don’t understand the attitude that every word from President Trump has to be applauded. That he must be immune from any criticism. If such is leveled at him you are a rabid anti-Trumper who wants him to fail. That is not how thinking Conservative work. We are not blind sycophants who put any man before true. That is what the Left excels at. Furthermore it shames of us who are Christian to ignore wrong for the sake of political expediency.
Trump did not have to flatter Kim to the press. He did not have to point out the obvious failings of Kim’s policies. He could have been silent. That would have been the right course.
The word fanatic comes to mind when I read some replies to your post. Well so does the word ignorance, but the two sort of go together, don’t they.
