ULTIMATE WTF: Miller Says Trump Supports MASSIVE Amnesty Increase with NO Cuts to Immigration
Dangus

Posted on 06/13/2018 3:46:47 PM PDT by dangus

Donald W. Trump????

Republicans are pushing an amnesty bill that is shockingly horrible. And incredibly, Pres. Trump's formerly hawkish-on-immigration adviser, Stephen Miller, says the President is all for it.

Yes, the bill would include the wall. But what good is a wall, when illegal aliens can simply fly into Miami or San Diego? Or, just like the caravan, they only have to show up TO the wall, and they'll be welcomed across it.

THE WALL WON'T DO A BLOODY THING TO REDUCE ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. NOTHING. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

According to Politico, the bill would cut chain migration and the visa lottery, two of Pres. Trump's pillars, but it would add all of those visas that would be cut to a new "merit-based" visa.

"The bill would curb family migration and end the visa lottery program, transferring all of those visas to a new merit-based green-card program that Dreamers and other immigrants could apply for."

So we're TRADING relatives of current immigrants for skilled laborers; that's not so bad, right?

WRONG! The bill would also create a new category of family visas, "H-4." So we'll get the workers PLUS massive waves of family members.

Surely, President Trump wouldn't support that?

FROM the WASHINGTON POST:

"Later in the day, Trump’s top immigration adviser told a group of conservative lawmakers that the White House is supportive of the more moderate option, which GOP leaders see as the best chance to pass in the House."

THIS IS CERTAIN ELECTION DISASTER!

Here comes the Democrat wave.

Last month, the Republicans had actually pulled ahead with a LEAD against the Democrats in the Reuter's generic ballot question. Now, as the focus has turned to the Open Borders' discharge petition, the Republicans' poll numbers have absolutely plummeted, WORSE THAN EVER.

And it's no wonder!

More than 80 percent of Americans REJECT amnesty with no cuts in legal immigration, including majorities of Democrats AND Hispanics who are present legally. No, you're not going to get Hispanics by pandering to illegal immigrants, Republicans. Majorities LEGAL Hispanics RESENT being lumped in with illegal immigrants and DON'T WANT amnesties, or chain migration, or anything else that hurts their ability to make a decent living... JUST LIKE ANY OTHER AMERICAN.

DON'T JUST WHINE ON LINE! CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES AND TELL THEM YOU'LL DO ANYTHING YOU CAN TO STOP THIS ABOMINATION!!!!

Are you saying that Miller isn’t saying the President is supporting a massive amnesty with no immigration cuts? The political newspapers are all over it.

First, I don’t know what the hell you are talking about, and second, the budget included two trillion dollars of added spending, so I’d hardly use that as an ad-hominem if I were you.

Of course they are - The Post will happily print anything that makes Trump lose face with his base.

I’m waiting to see if it actually passes the house first.

a conscious, voluntary decision to fund the military vs. veto
there is no similar Hobson’s choice in this situation

UPDATE: The proposed bill is SO bad, and Miller’s claim that Pres. Trump supports it represents such a shocking reversal, that Republican Members of Congress are asking the President to tweet his support before they’re willing to vote for it.
