A long-awaited report by the Justice Department inspector general on the handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation by the FBI and Justice Department is expected to focus on former FBI chief James Comey and the decisions he made during the course of the Clinton investigation, CBS News' Paula Reid reports.

The findings, which are slated to be released Thursday afternoon, describe Comey as "insubordinate" while also criticizing then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch for weak leadership, Reid also reports.

The fake news is saying Comey did some unusual stuff but no political bias was involved.

Comey already has been thrown under the bus by the Deep State. This is essentially boilerplate. Only questions are “Who is next?”, and “Who will the circle the wagons around?”!

Judge Napolitano, a Democrat sympathizer, told Fox & Friends viewers this morning that “insubordination” isn’t a crime and carries no punishment. Nothing to see here, so move along....just as all the Clinton crimes have been explained away for 30 years.

If all that is described is “insubordinate” then the report has been watered down to nothing of substance.

Would not be surprised to if the IG throws the low level Strzok and Page
under the bus while letting the big fish off the hook.
Isn’t that the way it always works?
Little fish takes the fall. Big fish gets off the hook.

Unfortunately “insubordination” is not a crime. Comey will walk, as will all the other criminals. Somebody give me a good reason not to be cynical.

It’s going to be an interesting next couple of days.

************

But probably not as interesting as we would like. The entire management layer of the DOJ needs to be swept out but it probably won’t happen. As usual, there will be lots of condemnation and posturing but very little in the way of actual corrective action.

One of the most interesting things in the next few days will be to see how the MSM spins this report, which will focus on HRC, FBI, DOJ, and Comey.

They are in an interesting position given that they attacked Trump for firing him even as they think he improperly influenced the election through mismanagement of the investigation and unauthorized public pronouncements. I am not sure how they will thread the needle on this. If the report recommends that the case be re-opened due to how poorly it was executed that will likely become the dominant story, but I expect it will be a very turbulent news cycle until they develop their talking points.

No political bias huh? Does anyone really think Come would have protected Trump the same way they protected Hillary? The FBI was creating phony reports to destroy Trump. Of course this was political. Even the watchdog is corrupt.

Exactly right. The big fish are never held accountable or suffer any meaningful punishment.

I understand people who are disappointed that the inspector’s general report is not re-litigating Hillary’s private email server, or accusing the FBI agents who handled it of more serious crimes.

However, insubordination is a fireable offense. The inspector’s general report offers full justification from an independent source that Comey should have been fired. This completely removes even the figment of an idea that Trump obstructed justice by firing Comey.

The report will be talking head fodder for a couple of weeks. None of the Deep State Ruling Class Elitist top scum will be prosecuted for anything related to the email and spying crimes, and that includes Comey, Lynch, Clinton, Jarrett, and Obama. McCabe is as high as any of this is going, if he’s charged at all.

You may well be correct about criminal charges, but this report will be very damaging where it counts going into November - public opinion. The main talking point on the right will be the comparison of this very flawed investigation and politically fueled exoneration when the crime was obvious with the relentless prosecution of the Russia investigation by many of the same actors. I expect dozens of tweets from the President pointing this out and it will be effective.

When viewed this way, the biggest loser from the release of this report may in fact be the special counsel who is already having a very bad month.
