A few notes from journalists briefed on the bill:
“The GOP DACA bill is out. Lot of the deets already been reported. $25b for wall w/safeguard that shuts down DACA visas if money is rescinded. Ending catch & release. Curbs family migrations. Ends diversity visa lottery program. Creates a NEW merit-based green card for dreamers”
“As you can see here, moderate Rs swallowed a lot of provisions they didn’t like to get their DACA fix. But so too did conservatives should they vote for this; it includes a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, something hardliners have balked at for years.”
We don’t need no stinkin compromise
Stop wasting time and money on this ,no one wants it
They work for the commies, elites, Chamber of Cheap Labor and last of all for conservative patriots. Where’s the wall and e-verify and ending chain migration.
293 pages - Lord knows what kind of mischief is buried in that much paper.
Compromise my ass!!!!!
We give away the store, and they get the merchandise.
Why did they waste their time?
I thought Paul Ryan’s immigration plan was in the 1.3 trillion dollar Omnibus Spending Bill. Ryan should not get to do another immigration plan before he leaves.
Trump dangling a carrot to prove even the democraps won’t pass this. DOA!
“You don’t need no stinkin’ wall”
Bienvenido a North Mexico, gringo.
I think it can be good. Trade DACA for Wall funding but document each and every illegal, then deport them if they don’t cross every ‘t’ on the application. In other words, the Trump Administration can agree to receive DACA applications but can scrutinize them to no end to disapprove the applications.
Give DACA illegals 6 months to get a COMPLETE, FULL, CONFIRMABLE, VERIFIABLE application into the government offices. If one thing is lacking, if the deadline is missed, it’s deportation without appeal.
Mexico must pay for the wall. The $25bn can get it built but over years, Mexicans must pay it back.
take everything that isn’t a completely funded and built border wall and stuff it as far up your ass as you can get it.
According to Savage, Ninety percent of the people in this country do not want this immigration
That Trump is president and won’t be next time if he doesn’t build the wall is further proof we do not WANT this
I went to drive through McD’s today. They could not undertand my language -english. The girls were speaking apanish to each other and to everyone else inside
I told them it makes me feel awful to hear other people conducting business in my country in a different language
They smiled at me and said they felt bad for me
That is very aggressive
They are speaking spanish with the intent to change the culture language and borders in that instance
I find it offensive
Why am I always the only person to tell these people to speak pur language?
Why are we allowing this invasion?
This is one for citizens not for the military
Sneaking it out under cover while everyone id focused on the IG report.
I sure hope this is DOA and anyone supporting it should not get a vote this fall. Cannot see any deal not including eVerify, end to all chain migration, end lottery, implement merit-based system, end sanctuary cities, plus the wall, etc. So much needed and bet most not addressed in the draft. NO AMNESTY.
Unnecessary. It’s already DOA but still call your congressman and MAKE SURE IT IS DOA!
Is THIS a good compromise then?
Betrayed again by our own party.
