Too bad they didn’t think to ask for medical, school, birth, etc. records when Obama was running.

Hmmmm. How would a Feinstein or a Pelosi or a Schumer react to being required to show where their millions came from on their congressional salaries at every election?

Yes, they have.

Nevertheless, such a requirement clearly violates the constitution as the eligibility prerequiste conditions for President are clear.

Section 1 of Article Two of the United States Constitution sets forth the eligibility requirements for serving as president of the United States: Didn’t see anything there about disclosing one’s tax returns. I’m just sayin’.

... conceivably a law passed to require that could block him from the ballot

Erick, it is inconceivable that you actually wrote such a moronic phrase. Didn't you learn ANYTHING in High School? Did you ever read Section 1 of Article Two of the United States Constitution?

Whoa, back up the turnip truck. I just checked and, sure enough, it's in the Constitution!! How did I miss that all these years?

No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States and shall have released tax returns to the public.

-- ARTICLE II, SECTION 1, CLAUSE 5

Well, guys and gals, we are done for. Pack up the tent, cash in your hands.

“The liberals have gone full circle insane...”

Yes they have. I’m sure this is unconstitutional but it would be interesting if the states that attempted were told that if passed, the USG will sever all financial ties with them. (Okay, I know it’s a stupid idea, but I can dream can’t I?)

If they want to defeat him, why not do it by convincing voters that their ideas are better?

I think that the other 25 States should pass a law that says that the Presidential Candidate must have owned at least one hotel in the past ten years to get on the ballot.

The Constitution determines eligibility, not the States crybabies.

If such an idiot law is passed by a State and not thrown out as exceeding a States jurisdiction for Federal requirements, then Red States should go all-in.

- Require official birth certificate
- Require medical records
- Require all arrest records, citations, late-payment notices on taxes, liens, etc

The reality is this is just a bunch of B.S. posing / virtue signaling by Dems.
