If they follow you, and you are afraid of them then the Ruger. At that point if there were any witnesses or camera's there is hardly a jury that will convict you of anything outside of self defense.
Personally, I would continue to back away as the paper work and hassle of the legal system would be extreme.

I live in California, I'm never overconfident. I think that people would be fascinated if there was a statewide poll on if they think Maxine Waters is going the right direction or represents them. I think most illuminating would be the racial breakdown of the 'wrong way' answers, and no, they probably won't be Caucasians.
I call for Crazy Maxine to be locked up in a psycho ward indefinitely.
