Full title: School Security Guard Who Didn’t Stop the Parkland Shooter Was Suspended for Sexually Harassing Students

A disciplinary panel recommended Andrew Medina be fired. He was not.

Lest you thought we were finished with tales of unfathomable incompetence on the part of Broward County, Florida, authority figures, consider this: The first Marjory Stoneman Douglas security guard who spotted Nikolas Cruz on campus and took no action to detain him was previously suspended for sexually harassing students.

Due to his inaction during the shooting, Andrew Medina was initially reassigned to an administrative position elsewhere in the Broward County school system. But on Tuesday, the superintendent finally decided to terminate his employment.

Medina worked as an unarmed security guard at Stoneman Douglas. In 2017, a disciplinary panel recommended that he be fired for sexually harassing two female students. (One of those students, Meadow Pollack, was later killed in the shooting.) But school officials decided to suspend Medina for three days instead, according to CBS News.

I'll answer slowly for you this time:

Any kind of attention given by an adult to any student that is in their charge that may be improper is grounds for serious review.

You aren't a parent, are you?

Broward county Florida Supt, Robert Runcie, (Chicagoan hand-picked by Obama) got a $28,000 raise and additional benefits under his contract.

The deal brings Runcie’s salary to $335,000 and extends his employment through June 30, 2023. Under the new contract, Runcie would:
-- Be able to trade in 15 of his 29 vacation days for a cash value of $20,500.
-- Get $48,000 contributed annually from the school board for retirement plans
-- Be allowed to earn a pension based on four years of his service in Chicago,
estimated to cost taxpayers $80,000.

More than 30 people lined up mostly to praise Runcie’s work since he started in 2011. Leaders of local community organizations, businesses and schools praised improved student achievement, Runcie’s communication skills and inclusion and protection of immigrants and minorities under Obama's vaunted "Promise" plan.

Runcie collected $53 million tax dollars from Obama for keeping minorities off arrest records.

Then the massacre took place.

Broward Supt Runcie named Superintendent of The Year.

The whole county government. Remember they were caught in a back room changing ballots?

Need to put a wall around that place.

My children are all grown with families of their own. All productive, Christian citizens.

But we home schooled and didn’t have to worry about some one quote sexually harassing them.

Telling some one they look nice telling them they are doing good job. Depending on the mind set of the person being told could be considered harassment.

How do we the girls didn’t make it up to seek revenge for being told by the guard to stop doing something.

Remember it is not the actual act that can destroy one’s life. Just an accusation can be used.

Be careful what you wish for laws are a two edged sword.

Nobody’s mentioning new laws - but any chance that a pervert is in close contact with our kids must be dealt with.

Glad you were able to homeschool your children but the rest of us have to trust those who have control of our kids when they’re in school.

No room for chance, none at all.

Besides, this crud proved who he was by his inaction before and during the massacre.
