What’s interesting is how easily they’re looking the other way on this. There’s no way that should be possible. You don’t basically smother someone—it’s not like this guy could “mummify” himself—and not face some kind of charge. Not only do the employers not give a damn or seem curious as to what went on, but neither do the cops.

Exactly. How is this not involuntary manslaughter? I dont care how contrite his sex partner is about the event.
It seems crazy that the prosecutor lets this walk, and doesnt at minimum put it in front of a grand jury. And really it should just be prosecuted and let a jury decide.

That was my impression ... how they are looking the other way. There should be some consideration, at least a charge for manslaughter. The family(?) should seek wrongful death suit against the master of ceremonies.
