Just watched the Nat Geo channel on the Arctic last week that was devoted to the warming of the Arctic and the problems caused to the Polar Bears. The wife asked if we had not just seen an article that showed sat images of the the Arctic with very large ice cover....dated in June of this year, I believe. We agreed that we had.
So goes another formerly respected institution. Nat Geo should stick to pretty pics and let folks who actually have knowledge of such things as physics, instrumentation, and analysis do the work.
If Al Gore is your spokesman, idiocy is your trade.

I kicked Nat Geo to the curb over 20 years ago at this point for becoming insufferably Leftist, after having been a subscriber for >3 decades.

For the first time ever since sea ice
satellite measurements began, the daily running average of Bering Sea ice, Hudson Bay sea ice, and Sea of Okhotsk sea ice did NOT completely melt out in ANY day in July, August, or September in ither 2016, 2017, or 2018. Every other year, the Bering Sea and Okhotsk melted out every day in August and most of September.

It’s not just National Geographic. Any article in Smithsonian Magazine has either a “climate change “ or racism reference.

At Nat Geo's website is an article from their upcoming August issue entitled "Climate Change First Became News 30 Years Ago. Why Haven’t We Fixed It?"

Funny thing though! My browser didn't find a single metion of "ice" in the entire article. How can that possibly be? I thought melting sea ice was the single biggest proof of Global Warming??

I decided to leave a comment after the article, but Nat Geo apparently doesn't allow online comments. Perhaps they feel confident that all their words are SS (Settled Science), so what would be the point in allowing comments?

Though they do give you the opportunity to do a Facebook or Twitter "Like" on their articles. How generous and brave of them to allow us that opportunity.
