The facts are that we just dont need a central government anymore. The computers that governments utilized in the 1980’s, are now sitting on your desk. Heck, sitting in your hand. And since we have just been exposed to another downside to central government, (corruption), the risks now far out way the benifits. Heck, they always did. From day 0.
There is no such thing as DEMOCRATIC/SOCIALISM there is nothing democratic about socialism that is not to say there is no such thing as a democrat/socialist !
Except Denmark, Norway, and other successful “Socialist” states are not so very “socialist”.
They are mixed economies with lots of capitalism involved.
Their corporate taxes are less than that of the United States.
Norway, for example runs most of the state on the profits from its enormous oil reserves. As I recall, it also nationalized German properties after WWII.
The Scandinavian countries also get a boost by being under the U.S. and Nato military umbrella.
Mixed economies run out of other people’s money slower than complete socialist economies.
The U.S. is also a mixed economy, more toward the capitalist end than Norway or Denmark.
We might as well ask: “Where has capitalism been tried?”
The Western world from about 1870 to 1915 would be the answer. It was a golden age.
Any form of government that uses the words ‘’social’’ or ‘’socialist’’ is a totalitarian form of government that in the end enslaves a people in one way or another. Socialism is a fraud, an often murderous one as history has shown time and again. It’s works so well people build rafts out of inner tubes and garbage to get away from it.

The failure of Communism/Marxism/Socialism/Statism is never the fault of those at the top. It is always the improper implementation of the Central Committee’s brilliant plan.
And the typical answer I have heard from a communist is ‘they are just doing it wrong. If everyone just chipped in, it communism would work great!’

I have traveled a great deal, socialism gives away individual rights to state leaders in the name of we all have everything lie. Then it becomes obvious their trusted leaders are just men and women, ie, stupid and greedy, and without individual rights the law becomes a method to oppress..socialism is the reason for much death

It’s not America’s job to care about Venezuela in the sense that West is contemplating. They got themselves into this socialist pickle, and as long as the people there tolerate it, the longer - and stronger - it will become.
