What Friday's Indictments Mean
NY Times ^ | 7.14.18 | Eisen and Bookbinder

Today we learned that the special counsel, Robert Mueller, has obtained indictments charging that 12 Russian military intelligence officers engaged in a conspiracy to subvert our democracy. The indictments demonstrate that Mr. Mueller, the Department of Justice and a federal grand jury agree with a conclusion that the intelligence community, the Senate Intelligence Committee and a majority of Americans long ago reached: The Russian government was unambiguously responsible for the attack on our election. The direct and specific evidence of Russian interference laid out in the indictment — both by hacking into Democratic Party accounts and into actual state election commissions — is immensely significant.

Yep, the old “Russia, Russia, Russia” joke. It’s reached the point of simply being boring now.

It means that these Rooskies were indicted without once appearing in court or being questioned by the Mueller team or any grand jury.

Indictments, snort. As if Mueller will ever get Putin to send them here for any sort of questioning, much less a trial.

After a year and a half of collusion, collusion, collusion being proved a nothing burger, the left will never believe it.

Just drop this waste of time and tax dollars immediately.

If they are looking for collusion, why don’t they start with who took money from Russia and who did favors for Russia?

That would be John Podesta, Fusion GPS, and the Clintons.

If we are going to indict spies for spying, does that mean we are going to swear off spying?

Trump’s response:

The stories you heard about the 12 Russians yesterday took place during the Obama Administration, not the Trump Administration. Why didn’t they do something about it, especially when it was reported that President Obama was informed by the FBI in September, before the Election?

What it means is that mueller and his cohort frauds should be indicted for sedition, fraud and wasting taxpayer money.

The Russian government was unambiguously responsible for the attack on our election.

This is complete garbage. This whole investigation has been about covering the fbi/doj interference in the election. The corruption in government has been building for decades, but it was given steroids during obumbers reign.

Sure this is how you indict a ham sandwich.

Except in this case, fhere’s no ham and NO evidence the Russians actually meddled in the election to change a single vote.

The indictment says so itself. When it comes to the failing NYT, the fact they assigned two reporters to this story shows how many lies it contains.

This is the best Rosenstein and Mueller could do? They’ve got nothing.

Almost two years and $22 million dollars later., all Trump’s enemies have to show for Russiagate is a bunch of meaningless indictments of a bunch of Russian spies.

With no credible evidence they did anything wrong. What a joke.

The indictments mean that the dems needed some bluster to cloud Trump’s successful foreign visits.

Wellll... New Yawk Times. This is not what the indictments mean at all.
They mean Mueller has nada and is once again pointing the finger at unavailable sources as proof of the integrity of his witch hunt.
Perhaps Trump can persuade Putin to make these Russian citizens available to Grand Dragon Mueller.
Discovery would be amazing. Where do you suppose Mueller’s hooded klan acquired this plethora of accusations?

Great minds think alike. I’m embarrassed for the stupidity of our country.

The Russians allegedly stole information but that’s not a crime because everyone does it.

This is a case of selective prosecution because the Deep State can’t bring itself to acknowledge the fact Hillary lost fair and square.

But blame the Russians for it for its not they who inflicted the longest-lasting damage on our democracy; that was the Deep State itself by doing everything it could to undermine President Trump and get him removed from office by means both fair and foul alike.

The biggest traitors to our country aren’t those living abroad but the enemy residing within our own gates.

The irony of the situation is simply too rich for words.

While the Russian attempts at gaining political information from inside U.S. political organizations, and the Rusian presence in the social media, cannot be cast aside as if benign, it is a reach, wihtout evidence, to go from those conclusions to pretending that those efforts were material within the American body politic as to its dispostion during the whole 2016 political campaign.

It only takes looking at the sheer massive volume of material the two parties own campaigns, the media and the social media created, together with the efforts of millions of independenrt imdividuals and political organizations to see the Russian effort was miniscule by comparison and, though it played on existing divisions in the American body politic, it did not create them or materially affect them.

Yet, pretending there is meaning in the Russian efforts that is not true, it is necessary for the Left in order to conflate the separate Russian efforts to “collusion” with Trump.

And do they? Yes, the AP ran a report today about the 12 indicted Russians, and directly and without foundation from the eivdence in those indictments said that Trump asked the Russians to get dirt for him on the Democrats.

And if they had? Oppo research isn’t yet a crime and Hillary and the Democrats never bothered to safeguard their political secrets.

The fact others acquired it doesn’t let them off the hook; to the contrary, it compounds their cupidity.

A pertinent fact of no interest to Mueller and his band of 13 Angry Democrats and their acolytes in the fake news media.

Where’s the beef?
