Senate Republicans are on pace to break the record for the most appellate court judges confirmed during the presidents first two years.
Majority leader Mitch McConnell has Senate votes planned for two circuit court nominations this week.
Theres Andrew Oldham for the 5th Circuit and Ryan Bounds for the 9th Circuit.
Not a fan of Mitch McConnell, but the turtle is moving faster than many of you think with judges confirmations.
POTUS way of permanently stopping the left....
The pace of confirmation of Appeals Court judges is great but they really need to pick up the pace on District Court judges. 20 have been confirmed in the past year and a half and 45 have been approved by the judiciary committee and are awaiting a floor vote, plus there are another 35 that have been nominated but not passed by the committee.

Yes! Go, go, go!
I think McConnell is doing all right overall. I don’t understand the level of hate he gets here sometimes.
Maybe the Turtle could scrap the stupid 30-hour rule for debates ...it slows down the judicial confirmation process
Thank Dingy Harry Reed. He broke the rules LOL

The Left is like the ending of every modern horror movie. The cute couple think they’ve killed the monster, but as the credits run the camera focuses in on one more egg, or some dripping goo or something else that tells the viewer that the whole thing is going to happen again. No matter how many times or how spectacularly communism fails, it will never die. It will just abate until people are so rich they think, heck, we can just add a tax and everybody will be able to have (fill in the blank.)
Thanks for bringing up the negatives.
Can’t let us normals think we are making progress!

We are actually making progress getting judges seated. I do wish it were faster but the Senate has always been slow and deliberative. The only judicial nominee I didnt like was that turkey from Hawaii who went to the 9th circuit. Getting more circuit judges seated is especially important. Most cases are not going to make it up to the Supreme Court. Flipping some of those circuit courts back after Obama put as many Lefties as possible on them is vital work.
Imagine what the record would be if we could get rid of the 9th District judges.
Perhaps the turtle appelation is not really applicable and is in fact dogma
“Maybe the Turtle could scrap the stupid 30-hour rule for debates ...it slows down the judicial confirmation process”
Probably the biggest problem now, but sadly McConnell doesn’t get to scrap it - it takes the entire Senate, which now means every Republican. And McConnell has said the votes aren’t there to do that.
Slow and steady wins the race.
Bttt
I’ll take it - it’s still going in OUR DIRECTION!
Speeding up from a snail's pace to a turtle's pace is not praise-worthy.
They are still confirming new judges at a slower pace than judges are retiring, so the gap of open seats is not closing.
We would still hear criticism.
