Her real name is Caryn Elaine Johnson. According to WIkipedia, “[s]he adopted the traditionally German/Jewish surname Goldberg as a stage name because her mother felt the original surname of Johnson was not “Jewish enough” to make her a star.”
I always wondered about that! She’s always been a POS. Sad she assumed that name.
