Move them to Taiwan. MacArthur wanted Taiwanese engagement. This would be in reverse.

Dont see the dots connecting in a problematic way as described.
Kim owns the Northern side. Replace soldiers and weapons with well equipped developers, realtors and building contractors .... those soldiers will need to learn to do something else anyway.
Kim has to pay soldiers and gets nothing in return. The same land and personnel can eventually pay their own way and become an income stream.

"Nuclear capabilities best reflect the two Koreas' military imbalance. That is why progress on denuclearisation should be a starting point for building trust with North Korea," said Shin Beom-chul, a senior fellow at the Asan Institute for Policy Studies.
I'm surprised coming from a Korean but is spot on. But I don't see that happening unless rocket man is removed to a permanent vacation. Worm food or paradise on earth.

I didn’t know the Marine Corps was in S. Korea except as Embassy duty. Isn’t the 7th Mechanized Corps part of the Russian Army?
Didn’t Jimmah Carter pull the 7th Inf. Div. out of South Korea along with General Singlaub?
