What started out as a single flag in tribute to his friend has taken on a life of its own for a Lewes businessman.
On July 10, Dave Repass put up a blue, black and white flag, known as a Thin Blue Line flag, on the northbound side of Route 1 over the Nassau Bridge following the sudden death of his friend, Delaware State Police Master Cpl. William Matt.

The women's presence in the median?
If the women are walking around on the median of a freeway in anything other than an emergency situation, then they are putting both themselves and others at needless risk.
I can see an uninformed person thinking the blue line American flag as being a leftist perversion.
Those flags are not a traffic hazard. They’re not in the roadway. There are flags all the way from Wilmington to the beaches hanging on overpasses. Some have been there since 9/11. These people who took them down are haters, period. Don’t mess with Sussex County.
I just couldn’t see a reason for people to slow down to look at women in the median unless they were nekkid.
Couldn’t the same be said of those leaving the flags?
Yes
Don’t be applying consistent standards, now.
Me I got a bit of a problem with the seditious implications of these flags. That’s not an official flag and it has no business flying on public property.
So, it isn’t just me? I appreciate the sentiment, but.....The aqua, blue and white Seahawks flag, on the other hand, is offensive to me.
Flags have the meaning of establishing sovereignty; they should not be hoisted lightly.
This flag in particular looks like what you would get in a dystopian America under military rule.
You wish. We’d get rainbow stripes with sparkles, and a pink fringe.
“Wed get rainbow stripes with sparkles, and a pink fringe.”
Draped over the back of of a unicorn.
He should be placing the flag of
the officers precinct if he really
is trying to convey respect for the
loss of a fellow officer. IMHO.
As far as walking around in the median
of a freeway, there’s usually laws
against that.
>>I can see an uninformed person thinking the blue line American flag as being a leftist perversion.<<
You are right about that. I am a political junky but it took awhile for me to learn what that flag represented because it seemed to pop up out of nowhere. I assumed, incorrectly, that it was some leftist protester version of Old Glory!
>> to look at women in the median unless they were nekkid<<
Most likely if the kind of women who were doing that were “nekkid” it would cause drivers to put the pedal to the metal.
>>Me I got a bit of a problem with the seditious implications of these flags.<<
Seditious implications? Really? Man I’m really looking forward to what you mean by that?
>>Flags have the meaning of establishing sovereignty; they should not be hoisted lightly.<<
Even my Christmas Santa Claus flag? Man I never knew that. Guess I won’t fly that one anymore either. HAR HAR HAR! And also my POW/MIA flag has to come down? Au Geez!
