Was digging fire lines in Ore.
Its bad. And it is a prime example of what happens because of the eco freak tree huggers prevention of proper forest management.
There are a couple on the northern side of Crater Lake. If that thing gets into the Chemult area and the density of the lodgepole pine around there we will all get to really see something.
I aint going back. To hell with it.
Safe to say, there has been enough smoke/pollution released from those fires that it would take 30 years of coal fired power plants running to equal it.
Smoke from Klamath falls Ore all the way down to Las Vegas. So much so that you CAN NOT, see the mountains from the highways.
A prayer to the Lord for your safety.
5.56mm
Them MOFOS could put those smaller fires OUT if they wanted.
Like I said, I aint going back..I dont think.
Thanks for your work....I live in Oregon...not near there, but am seeing/smelling smoke. (Willamette Valley) The enviro’s make me sick.
Do you think there’s any chance it’ll get as big as the Rodeo-Chediski fire?
Put em all together and they will dwarf all previous fire on record.
The Car fire is creating its own weather system. The other day they clocked 143 MPH winds from that fire storm created in that fire.
When that happens, the hot shots, and everyone, are instructed to drop EVERYTHING AND RUN! Your lucky if you dont get burned alive.
I was working miles from them. They are so concerned, they are digging fire lines MILES from them.
Lots of time in the seat of an excavator.
Outta here. I got to get some sleep.
digging fire lines

Could you explain what that entails?
Thank you for your hard work. I came back from the west a few years back with several firefighters working out there on rotation. They were exhausted. I cant 8magibe what kind d if hellish conditions you were in. Praying for their safety and thankful you’re back home.
Thank you!
In my case, use an excavator and knock down and remove all trees and debris the fire will burn. As wide as you can make them-80 feet or so. Stir the ground up. etc.
In some cases, they have excavators and bulldozers behind the fire removing the burning snags.
I got freinds working the Car fire (Redding) the Ferguson fire (Yosemite) and a couple up by Ely Nv someplace.
They are calling crews in from all over the world.
Pretty hard breathing smoke for 14 days. They are so short on manpower, that they are even taking an old fart like me-I got mild COPD.
Didnt bother me much though, which surprised me.
Anywheres from 12 to 17 hours per day. For two solid weeks. At 65 years old it gets a little rough.
My grandmom went through the great Peshtigo Fire. She passed away before I was born, but would tell of that.
That fire sucked roofs off from the buildings in Peshtigo WI.
To this day, it has the largest death rate of any forest fire in N America.
AND, there has NEVER been any fire even remotely like it in N Eastern WIS or The UP of Mi since they PREVENT them.
A good sticker to create.
How do you fight Forest Fire?
Prevent Them!
Logging and Forestry Management!

Amen!
Ya know. One thing the people in those areas could do is offer up a shower and a bed for those crews.
I stayed in Alturas one night on the way up and the hotels are price gouging.
Oh its OK staying in a hotel, but if a couple has a couple beds to offer and a good shower...That’d be gold. Food isnt a problem, its all the little comforts.
I sure would have been thankful for a good shower. A hottube? Oh heck ya! Just sayin.
Well, if we were near there...WE WOULD....what’s the closest city....I’ll see if I know anyone near there...or contact some churches near there...
OH gosh. There are so many fires. I guess the big one would be Redding Ca. Although that is dwarfed by the fire in NV. That one is over 50 miles long by 30 miles wide. Near Carson City NV.
Then there is...
I have been napping. Totally spent.
Just do a google search on CA fires and NV fires and Ore fires.
Thats all I can do for you.
K Falls has been in the bottom five air quality for the last 3 weeks....left the basin on Friday and thought I was looking at a postcard when I could see clearly again. Somehow it is climate change and not moronic forest management that is the problem according to the left
