The rest of the base, which is huge land-wise, is Camp Edwards, a National Guard/Reserve base. Used to see weekend warriors of all services there from time to time.
I was assigned to the 6th Missile (replaced with Space) Warning Squadron, Cape Cod Air Force Station, a fenced off area on the Northern tip of the base, by the Sagamore Bridge. We were just a little old radar station running a giant phased array radar.

What do they do if the enemy launches missiles when it's a dead calm?
Windmills were probably Barack boondoggles.
