I haven’t been to a movie theater in over 20 years, but even back then I don’t think you could get popcorn for a dollar.

I haven't been in a movie theater since 1972, when I sneaked off the grounds of the Naval Academy to go downtown to watch "2001: A Space Odyssey".

But I'm sure that this is about what you can buy for a buck now ...

Back in 1983 i worked at showcase Cinemas in Dedham, MA as a 15 yr old for something like 1.75/hr....thanks Sumner!
I saw the movie 48hrs like 300 times to stay warm from the freezing cold parking lot.

since then i’ve probably been to a theater 5 times.
