In Papers Saying Papadopoulos Lied, FBI Reveals It’s Either Lying Or Incompetent
The Federalist ^ | August 20, 2018 | Margot Cleveland

Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office filed a sentencing memorandum Friday in its pending criminal case against George Papadopoulos, the former Donald Trump campaign advisor who pled guilty in October 2017 to making false statements to the FBI. Papadopoulos is scheduled to be sentenced next month.

Mueller’s team provided the court a detailed background of Papadopoulos’ criminal offense in the sentencing memorandum and suggested Papadopoulos’ lies justified a sentence of 0 to 6 months of incarceration. While much of the ten-page memorandum merely rehashes facts previously known, one passage includes a significant new admission that proves the FBI is either incompetent, or incompetent at lying.

Papadopoulos told FBI agents that Mifsud claimed the Russians had dirt on Clinton.

Supposedly, Papadopoulos’s story effected the FBI’s ability to question, detain, or arrest Mifsud.

Mueller’s team stated in the sentencing memo that it had provided Papadopoulos a video of his January interview. It would be surprising if the FBI agents had not also recorded their interview with Mifsud — the supposed Russia connection that purportedly prompted the FBI to launch the investigation into the Trump campaign.

Mifsud left the United States on February 11, 2017 and he has not returned to the United States since then. The FBI and Mueller team claim they do not know where Mifsud is.

Mueller’s team claim that Mifsud supposedly got away because Papadopoulos gave the FBI some information that the agents would have had to have known was false, had they undertaken even a cursory investigation of Papadopoulos and Mifsud.

Shouldn’t there be some kind of rule against stupid perjury traps. If the FBI knew he was working for the Trump campaign when he met Mifsud, then why not just preface the question that way? If they’re trying to get to unknowns, why muck around with trying to get people to lie about what’s already known?

This is how the Nazis started. Financial destruction and criminal prosecution of political opponents based on lies.

Been going on for years.

And gutless Republican leaders do nothing.

I read where the FBI reportedly interviewed Mifsud in early-to-mid February, 2017 in Washington DC.

If a liar tells you a lie and you repeat it, does that make you a liar as well?

I hope this guy takes his wife’s advice and withdraws the guilty plea. A public defender should be able to clear him now.

I just noticed I’ve been a freeper for 20 years today. Hooray for me!

Why not?

Because Mueller needs indictments to keep his scam going. It doesn’t matter whether the indictment is a bs perjury charge that into which he has entrapped his victims, or if the indicted persons are impossible to apprehend, or if they are really guilty of unrelated crimes: Mueller needs indictments. Mueller’s cheerleaders over at NYT, WaPo, and CNN can then claim that the indictments demonstrate that that he’s closing in on Trump. Thereby, the MSM convinces the faithful and the low-information voters that there’s something to the Russia collusion scam.

Mifsud left the United States on February 11, 2017 and he has not returned to the United States since then. The FBI and Mueller team claim they do not know where Mifsud is.

The FBI supposedly “interviewed” Mifsud. Right after that Mifsud left the U.S. and the FBI say they have no idea where he is.

My family tells me I constantly screw up when things happened. When I first learned of something is not as important to me as the fact that I know whatever it is. I remember the thing, but not the date.

A guy I know in government law enforcement said, “If the FBI come to interview you, say, ‘I am anxious to talk to you but I will only do so when I have my lawyer present.’” (And, he was a lawyer himself.)

I read an article by a lawyer on being interviewed by the FBI. He said he would insist on doing the interview in his office and recording it. The FBI is not allowed to do interviews recorded by others. Instead, one agent asks questions and the other fills out a 302 form. The agents refuse and the lawyer says, “Well, my client is willing to talk.” (I often wonder what happens next. He didn’t say.)

The trick on the 302 is, you were either lying when you said this...(whether you actually said it or not)...or you are lying now. So, you do whatever we want and say whatever we want or we send you to prison like Martha Stewart for a process crime.

I would guess the interview and questions went something like this:

1. Why are you still here?

2. Do you need a ticket out of the country to somewhere secure?

3. Do you need help packing your things?

4. Can I get you a ride to the airport?

I’d like to put Mueller under oath. There would be so many perjury counts that would come out of that that it would make Bill Clinton look truthful.
