I think they don’t AGREE on even one “single” count. As polarized as a magnet or the nation.

Robert Mueller and his band of Democrat low life “Democrat” assistants is supposed to be the best in the business. To have a jury possibly “hung up” on a case that was supposed to be a 1-2-3 guilty case is the joke of the week.

When I think of what Mueller and company have wasted taxpayer money on their doomed mission is an unforgivable sin. Even if Manafort does get convicted...Trump will pardon him, and rightfully so!!!

Mueller & Company should all be jailed for fraud of the American taxpayers!! this is turning out to be a three ring circus and a mighty bad one at that!!!

Correct. Or else they would have said something like: "We don't agree on ONE count." Also why the angst which would require them to go back to the judge as well as ask for a new verdict sheet?

Maybe it's a shot across the judge's bow as in: we're done here, absolutely and irrevocably hung, nothing is going to change, how long are you going to hold us hostage?

What is certain is that the NYTimes and their headline are idiotic!

At MINIMUM that means some people are wanting to vote guilty, on at least one of the charges.

I am hoping the judge sentences him to time served and a $50 fine, if that is the case.

I find it hard to believe they won’t find him guilty on some of the counts. MSM will make a big deal, but whoop... nothing to do with Trump.

Your logic makes a lot of sense. This one count they are having problems resolving would be relatively inconsequential for the total sentence if they have already found him guilty on a majority of the counts. But if they’ve found him not guilty on all or the vast majority of the other 17, then this one count has more impact on the sentence and thus is of greater consequence, warranting the extra effort of going back to the judge.

I suppose that could be true, but again if you have some guilty verdicts, why bother with the one hung count, flip a coin and go home. Mueller doesn’t care, he just wants a scalp and to hand the sentence over Manafort head to get Manafort to flip. It has nothing to do with justice, so why should the jurors pretend that it is.

Most likely 17 are decided, one way or the other. The judge wants them to reach a verdict on #18. It’s not an all or nothing deal.

More likely a mixed bag, I’m guessing guilty on most of them. It’s not all or nothing.

“If we cannot reach a consensus on a single count...”

Let me paraphrase this according to my understanding of what was meant:

“If we can’t agree on even one of the 18 counts...”

Jury divided on all 18 counts.

I’ve tried cases to juries. The only rule is that none of the things you think or hope tell you what their deliberations mean—timing, questions, etc—actually mean much of anything. They’re just stuff for pundits to worry about.
