Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s personal income has risen substantially since she entered the Senate in 2013, according to 10 years of tax return documents her campaign released Wednesday.

The Massachusetts Democrat and her husband, Harvard Law School professor Bruce Mann, earned a combined adjusted gross income of nearly $5.4 million from 2013 to 2017, according to their tax returns — a 42 percent increase from the couple’s combined income of almost $3.8 million in the five years prior to Warren’s ascension to Congress.

Warren earned over half of the couple’s combined income during those years, even without counting her Senate salary. Most of her outside revenue came from advances and royalties from the seven books Warren has authored or co-authored.

But, she's in it to serve the people. The money? Surely she's donating her salary to help those seperated families at the border right? Oh, and no doubt uncle burnee is letting folks stay at 2 of his 3 domiciles right?

I sure hope there are volunteers out there tracing all the money and how the Marxist Liberal acquired it then reports back to the American people.

It’s amazing the way Democrats get rich during a career of “public service”.

There’s only one way to become wealthy* working a $174,000 a year job in a high cost, high tax environment like DC and environs: outside income. Taking graft from lobbyists and payoffs for favors, sometimes disguised as speaker fees. Donations that are not spent campaigning are used personally through artful accounting.

All political donations should have to be ANONYMOUS. You can’t sell influence if you don’t know who is buying. Americans should be allowed to donate any amount they wish to any party or candidate they choose; that’s FREEDOM. But purchasing an outcome makes it BRIBERY, a CRIME. Both parties should do time for it.

*Wealthy vs. well off. Living a nice but modest lifestyle you can be very comfortable at $174K.

Liberals claim they are altruistic - that they go into politics to do well for others.

But they always manage to do very well for thenselves.

Even a dumb ass like Maxine Waters manages to become a multi-millionaire off the influence peddling, pay-for-play and other scams they all pull.

Senators pay comes from fed taxes.

We should be so lucky that the states had to pay for these freaks!

From the article...

"Warren downplayed her wealth since entering politics.

“I realize there are some wealthy individuals — I’m not one of them — but some wealthy individuals who have a lot of stock portfolios,”

OK, what's in your portfolio then? Hmmm?

All elected officials should wear uniforms like NASCAR drivers with the logos of their “sponsors” on them. The “sponsors” would be the donors to their campaign or persons providing income outside of their salary as elected officials.

The American people have a right to know who our officials really work for. Because it sure isn’t us.

Just a thought...

Has her income really skyrocketed or...

Has she suddenly decided to report it all?
