Oh, bullsh**-and I’m sure that parents who validate and encourage the histrionics and other attention-getting behaviors that often develop during puberty don’t have a thing to do with this “increase” in what is simply inappropriate and emotionally unhealthy behavior. I’m convinced these parents either can’t accept the gender of their child because they wanted the opposite gender-or they have Munchausen by proxy-either way, they need psychotherapy...

It’s on the rise because it’s promoted in public schools.
Glorify a behavior to teenagers, who are going through rapid changes in their lives, and it will increase the incidents of that behavior. Of course, they know that.
1) We’ve got estrogen and estrogen mimickers out the ear. We need to kill the soy industry.
2) We’ve got an obesity crisis that is probably food supply related, (omega 6’s, linoleic acid, estrogens, roundup in wheat, lignans, toxins, hormones, etc) And that may also play into this.
(Eye roll) The whole academia has gone bonkers, catering to these newest touchy-feely snowflakes.
And yes SJWs are pushing into the Engineering (possibly science) school as well. (hat/tip: Campus Reform ===> need to dig out the reference)

When was in my teens a lot of girls were desperate to look like that model Twiggy whose photo was everywhere, starving themselves to do so-I lived in W. Texas ranch country-but we still all had a TV and you could buy teen fan magazines in the grocery store in town 20 miles away-that fad was history before I was 20...
Now we celebrate and promote it.

Increased licentiousness, obsession with sex, homosexuality “awareness”, and hence pushing all this to younger and younger people so they think hey, maybe I’m on that boat too!
Once upon a time a nervous disorder known as choreomania, or more commonly as St. Vitus dance, gripped many of the inhabitants of the various small kingdoms of Europe, in which the individuals afflicted would dance about to the point of physical exhaustion days, weeks, months on end.
This was an example of mass hysteria, and at the time, was ascribed to excessive religiosity. From the prospective of our present day, and from what accounts of the phenomenon exist, it appeared to have no organic cause. It involved groups of people dancing erratically, sometimes thousands at a time.
Just so with “gender dysphoria” There is no organic basis for the reports of its occurrence, and it seems only to affect certain demographics, particularly tohose located in urban areas.
Merely a fad that has reached some kind of mystical importance.
Flagpole sitting and goldfish swallowing were once passing fads too.
The reason reporting was unusual is that until recently no propaganda machine supported these BS theories. Transgenderism is sexual Climate change theory. Belief is mandatory but lots aren’t playing.
Too much soy in food is feminizing to males-it is the way we process soy here that does it-males in Japan don’t have the problem, but they don’t process soy the same way. Also there are hormones in factory farmed meat, Roundup residue in large scale farmed produce crops-and no one knows exactly what is really in the GMO grain and produce-grass fed/free range and locally grown stuff for me, thank you...
The Arabs had rapid onset gender dysphoria going way back.
First they would have four strong men grab a camel’s legs, and a fifth man would go up behind it with a pair of bricks. After a bit of a struggle, gender dysphoria accomplished.
how about Television and School induced Gender dysphoria.

Dysphoria (I had to look it up): noun “a state of unease or generalized dissatisfaction with life.”
Problem: unease and anxiety with life
Solution: loving mother and father, sports 3x week, church 1x week, study in the library 4x week, drink beer Fri and Sat nights and work 35 hours week.
That’s what I have done since age 16.
