#5: "I used to have a lot of respect for him. No more."

Yep. Same here. Young fools are insufferable. Old fools are despicable.

Yep. Same here. Young fools are insufferable. Old fools are despicable.

We seem to have experienced the last 12 years or so.
The cause should be obvious.

The two extremes against the vast majority of Americans who made America Great, and is struggling to survive.

Perverts of all ages seem to be perpetuating the slide to oblivion.
Has anyone noticed that commercials featuring pre-adolescents now choose actors whose sex is indeterminate?
Do you really think that's accidental?

How about the PSA recently created with an illegal alien woman proudly announcing at a little League (American) game obviously in the U.S.A...

"Whenever I can I speak Spanish to my children (in the United States.) What is wrong with them learning their 'appropriate Language?' (In the United States of America!)"

To be perfectly clear, I am bilingual. My good fortune was to be raised, and spent my pre-pubescent years in a latin American country in a Moravian School, which only recently I've learned originated in West Virginia.
Within a year after arriving in San Francisco, California I spoke California English, and the rest is history.

My family, such as it was, my brother and I arrived 100% legally.
Within a year I was totally speaking California English. In my middle teens I became curious about my Spanish heritage and began learning more about "the language." Not That was then, this is now.

My Spanish was improved later via many visits to Spain to the point that, together with a half sister who lives in Costa Rica (After spending ten years in San Francisco) we have recently collaborated in professional translations of everything from Contracts to poetry, mostly from Spanish to English.

My bottom line--- I am proud of my heritage --- but I am 100% American in thought and in deed. Ironically, I have been insulted and threatened in Mexico for being a "hated" American, in my many visits there, too, until 1998 when the envy and hate turned physical. Every year, some American naive tourists disappear in Mexico. Fortunately, no member of my current family is among them.

And, the idea of "mexican Spanish" being "my appropriate" language, and that of my U.S. born sons and daughter, could never take root in our psyche, all native born Americans, who are all Americans first and foremost, but also bilingual or trilingual by choice.
