Roger Stone predicts he'll be indicted next in Mueller probe
The Hill ^ | 08/27/18 | Justin Wise

Roger Stone is predicting that special counsel Robert Mueller will soon indict him as part of the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

"Robert Mueller is coming for me," Stone, a longtime associate of President Trump, said on Sunday in an email asking supporters to donate to his legal defense fund, according to an image posted by CNN.

"I’m next on the crooked special prosecutor’s hit list because I’ve advised Donald Trump for the past 39 years. I am being targeted not because I committed a crime, but because the 'deep state' liberals want to silence me and pressure me to testify against my good friend President Donald J. Trump."

Stone's message to his supporters came about a week after Trump's former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, was convicted of and his former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, pled guilty to federal crimes stemming from Mueller's investigation.

Stone told The Guardian in a text message on Monday that he thinks Mueller “may frame me for some bogus charge in order to silence me or induce me to testify against the president."

Stone has voiced similar predictions before. In June, he told Hill.TV that it's possible Mueller would indict him as part of the investigation.

It was later noted in July that Mueller's indictment of Russian military officers in the 2016 hacking of the Democratic National Committee appeared to make reference to Stone.

Stone acknowledged that messages included in the indictment matched ones that he exchanged with hacker Guccifer 2.0. Mueller has alleged that Guccifer was a front for Russian operatives, according to The Guardian.

Mueller has investigated multiple people linked to Stone as part of its probe.

His team met with Kristin Davis, who once ran a high-end prostitution ring, earlier this month regarding her relationship with Stone.

Damn Roger, don’t say a damn thing and get a lawyer.

The power rested in US Law can indict a ham sandwich.

You know that.

Aw hell, sooner or later, Mueller is going to get around to indicting all of us. If you voted for Trump, you are a co-conspirator.

IF you look at ANY poll these days, more than 60% of Americans view Mueller and his investigation as politically tainted. The MSM tries hard to hide those polls, but Mueller and the BS this thing has become are NOT popular. All Stone need do is vigorously defend himself. Most Americans would love to see Mueller lose.

I have never heard of a people that have not been, indicted, charged or arrested asking for donations to their legal defense fund.

If Stone never gets indicted, do the donors get their money back?

Mueller and crew don’t care about polls as long as they have the backing of the corrupt state, both parties, corrupt courts and fakestream media. Which they do in spades.

Roger should stop giving interviews even to defend himself.

The more he makes public statements the more likely he is to trip-up and say something Mueller could use against him and he could regret.

He has a great advantage though.

Muellers' 'narrative' is largely public knowledge so if he's smart and has a good lawyer he should walk away with little impact on his life.

Mueller has a problem. His probe is “Russian Collusion”.

The witch hunt will eventually turn to the Clinton Foundation.

Most of this is not being followed by my neighbors and that’s fine.

The left must give meat to the base lest they lose them.

Why does part of me think Roger actually wants to be indicted? Oh because he is an attention whore. Roger seems like a train wreck what did asshat Ted Cruz call, him a rat copulator - I literally almost drove off a cliff laughing so hard when I heard the news bite of Ted Cruz calling him that during the campaign.

Good luck Roger and have fun, Muellers a bit of a dull chode, should be an easy mark for you

this may be a left-field comment, but it would appear that Mueller is trying to run out the clock. The public is growing more and more impatient with his $20M+ investigation - better to fill the time up with one Rep after the other, even if it’s on IRS violations, than to touch the Clintons - oops, out of time, no can do.

“Why does part of me think Roger actually wants to be indicted?”

You think he wants fbi goons breaking into his house at 6am and pointing guns in his face?

what if everyone who voted for Donald Trump demanded to be indicted by Mueller because they colluded with the Trump campaign to elect him as President?

What does Stone have either on Mueller and team, or about the Dems and their Russian collusion?

He’s an old time political poker player and I would not want to go up against him. He doesn’t bluff and I hope he’s not doing it not.
