Agreed. Probably the best indicator is a degree in “_________ Studies.” The world “studies” seems to be a strong indicator of worthlessness.
The degree won’t get you the job but it will get the box checked and without the box checked vapid, paper pusher HR people will instantly weed someone out.
“The CDC states the rate increased more than 30 percent between 1999 and 2016 and 54 percent of people who committed suicide did not have a known diagnosed mental health condition when they died.”
Did not have a “known mental health condition”.....not sure if you have known anyone who has committed suicide, but I am sure your harsh attitude and general lack of compassion will change if it ever happens in your circle of reality.
As I said you’re entitled to our opinion as am I.
I stand by my harsh attitude and general lack of compassion as you see it.
In fairness, it is not the college's fault that the student CHOSE to pursue that worthless degree. Full disclosure should be required up front as to the future value of a degree. If there are 4,000 degrees in 16th century French literature issued a year but only 150 jobs a year in which that degree is of value, tell 'em before they take it.
