Spent 5 years in college, graduated with a BS Physics & business, worked summers and Christmas vacations, and in the kitchens of the girls dorm for .65$/ hour(would have worked there for free!). Frat rat too. graduated with no debt. How much was a semester of college back then?

When I graduated in 1970, in-state tuition (at U. of Wisconsin-Madison) was $500 per year.

About $800 per semester plus books, room & board & $ for dates. Always bought books at used store. Had to do 2 years of ROTC.
