I have been saying all morning: do not discount Gillum. I believe that he has both the financial and ideological support that is necessary to be voted in as governor, properly or otherwise. The biggest driver in this gubernatorial election is going to be turn out. But, then again, the left has shown more than once that they are capable of stuffing ballot boxes.

I have more faith in Floridians than that.

I talked to three people already this morning who were Graham voters who are voting Desantis. I really have a hard time seeing those suburban Graham folks going for Gillum.

You didn’t see the GOP primary turnout? It was more typical Southern state than swing state FL.

Gulum has no chance... FL isn’t VA yet and it’s been GOP for well over two decades.

DeSantis will be the next Governor.

“I believe that he has both the financial and ideological support that is necessary to be voted in as governor, properly or otherwise.”

It is true South Florida is chockablock full of idiot liberals. But Gillum is the Republicans’ dream opposition.

If Gillum can't be beaten then the Republic is truly lost.

It is surprising he beat Ms. Graham. Like Hilary, she is a thoroughbred liberal, has a famous family last name, was entitled to win, and, arguably, a woman.

But Gillum had a lock on a 30 percent block-vote and that was enough to win a plurality on a crowded field.

That will not repeat in November. A few visits by President Trump reminding sane voters of what is at stake will swell the red wave. The wave will elect a Republican governor and help to sweep old Bill Nelson out of the Senate.

I have to agree with you. Did you see the turnout in “Hanging Chad County”? This race is turnout, turnout and turnout. It looks like the Dems have fired up their base. The Pubbies better get out there and do the same or they will lose this thing. That turnout also bodes Ill for others on the R side of the ticket.
