I didn’t even mention India, which is a nuclear power that hates China. And every other country that rings China, like Nepal, Viet Nam, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Australia, hates China. And the eastern European countries, such as Poland, the Ukraine, and all the others that are on the border with Russia, hate Russia, too.

I stand by my assessment. You should rethink yours.

Americans are PAYING for China’s nuclear weapons.

We are running history’s single largest trade deficit with China.

Right now.

“In the Trumpian mindset this country had ( has) become weak and overextended because of its uncritical adherence to the governing precepts of the liberal international order, which called for the US to assume the task of policing the world, while granting its allies economic and trade advantages for their loyalty..”

an inherited burden which Trump sees as unsustainable, as do many who voted for him to extricate us from policies like continuous hostility and military brinksmanship with North Korea and Russia and incredibly, supporting ISIS and even al Qaeda to topple secular Syria - after the same strategy failed miserably in Libya ( though the Europeans did get the oilfields)

Afghanistan. 17 years of war. What is victory going to look like? When is it going to happen?

China will get on their knees if we stop buying stuff from them. We build China with $5 Trillion trade deficits so far.

He’s pretty much right.

Two things to do:

1. Punish China economically. Keep their goods out of our market. Make it illegal for US-based companies to cooperate with the Chinese regime or any of its state-owned or supported companies.

2. Build up our military strength. And build up Taiwan, Japan, and the ANZAC countries. Make sure they have missile defense. Establish a presence in the Couth China Sea.

It;s an updated version of President Reagan’s anti-Soviet strategy. It worked then; it could work now.

Not what we buy, what we sell
Soybeans.
We may take down China with soybeans - not weapons.

$400 Billion average annual trade deficit we have with China employs ($400,000,000,000 / $10,000 annual wage of Chinese workers) = 40,000,000 million manufacturing workers in China. The spending by those workers in Chinese economy employs another 80 million service workers.

If we take all that away, with 120 million laid off workers there will be riots in the street, there won’t be enough money to buy even soybeans, and president XI will be forced to seek asylum in North Korea.

So what does little Rubio propose as a solution?

He’s as useless as Geraldo Rivera! They are both Hispanic racists.

I thought Democrats were the stupid ones.

Rubio ranks right up there.

““They are on the verge of achieving their goal of destroying our alliances in the Indo-Pacific by making keeping our defense commitments too costly to keep,””

All the more reason to even out the trade imbalances and get rid of business killing regulations so we can grow the economy.
