Capitol was a major label. Nat Cole put them on the map, they carried the Beach Boys, and they purchased the rights to the Beatles’ recordings from British Decca (Parlaphone). Sinatra left Columbia to go to Capitol.

Edgar Leslie was Harry’s lyricist. This is a full minor key tune that reflects the tenor of the times. Lee Morse occupied a bit of musical territory that existed somewhere between the blues and bluegrass. This is a haunting version.
