Alas, as it was, it seemed utterly frightening to allow Al Gore to become President. Especially my being a Tennessean, knowing him too well and finding him as viscerally repugnant as could be - and giving him the reins of power and to be able to appoint judges... just unimaginable.
Unfortunately, there was no real outsider in that race to go for. Dear Saint Juan of McQueeg tried to pretend that he was one early on in the primary, but we already knew what a fake he was. That stunt in the Michigan primary he pulled in having thousands of Detroit voters that were all Democrats try to “win” him the nomination was evidence of how corrupt he was - enough to make Shrub look like the savior of the country.
As we know now nearly two decades hence, all political show, all Kabuki theater. I’m sure they were having a great big guffaw behind our backs at this circus. Not even P.T. Barnum could give us a show like these guys could, right up to McQueeg’s epic “national weaks (sic) of mourning” for the great fallen political leader. Yup, kids, the joke was definitely on us. Alas, the Good Lord will not permit us a ringside seat for the judgment of the distinguished Sinator (sic) from Arizona, or for all the others complicit in this corrupt bargain in selling out our nation for power.
I try to think of my own moments before the Judgement Seat, and realize there are errors I’ve made.
That’s why I really want to cut McCain some slack. The problem is, he was a disgusting jerk to the bitter end.
Maybe his relationship with his family was decent, but seeing his outward appearances especially to Cindy when he called her a “C” in public, I don’t know how that could be true.
His fixation on Trump, was just childlike.
The man must have been a real bundle of joy for the family to deal with.
This is why God is the final judge. I think I’d probably be a lot more harsh than Him. I take it he is a just God.

McCain had a volcanic temper and a filthy mouth, anyone who was around him knew that. I have no doubt that he verbally abused Cindy, using every four letter word in the book. That’s what bullies like him do.

One thing I mean to put in, and it does have a decent bearing on the criticisms for McCain at the end, is the misrepresentation of his record.
It’s why a lot of folks couldn’t just give the guy a few days absent criticism.
I’ve never seen a man provided with more lies and cover at the end of their life.
Folks on our side simply wanted the record to be honest and clear.
Exactly so. This whitewash of his record and history is breathtakingly appalling. If this guy was so saintly as they’ve told us each and every day, so above criticism, why did this same media 10 short years ago during his (fake) campaign call him the worst thing to come down the pike (racist, warmonger, extremist, yada yada yada) ?
Why he should’ve been made President by bipartisan acclimation ! How could we deny the greatest being since J.C. such an office and he could unite all the world in a big Kumbaya hug ? (Oh, wait, they did that for the jug-eared jackass)

It's funny, but back then people were told that they knew all they needed to know and to support the man.

I remember seeing something the other week. It was some claim by a local newspaper editor that the “media is your friend.” It was just jaw-dropping in the level of cognitive dissonance.
They cannot grasp (or refuse to) why the media is viewed with such visceral contempt as to be lower than whale$hit on the bottom of the Marianas Trench. It’s so simple. They refuse to tell the truth. They spin, they lie, they distort. They hate our values. They hate the people we support (Trump). They hate that we refuse to abandon him.
They have an agenda antithetical to those of the bulk of Americans and simply hate, hate, hate that they cannot manipulate and fool enough of us to support their sick and evil ideology.
Most people that go into the media/journalism business (at least since the JFK era) do so not due to altruistic reasons of telling the public the truth. They do so because they want to push that aforementioned radical agenda and attack traditional Judeo-Christian Conservative and Constitutional values. They work hand in glove with the corrupt Deep State. The more vicious, ugly and deceitful individuals are, the more positive recognition they get from their equally depraved peers.
Sadly, in this sick age, $hit does rise to the top. In the media/journalism, pop culture/Hollyweird, (mis)education system and politics. As for good people, well, we know what happens to them. They must be destroyed at all costs.
