If you think for a moment Nebraskans agree with hiim on illegal immigration, just go visit one of the towns that has acquired a Hispanic majority in the past 40 years due to meatpacking and other industries.

NeverTrumper Sassy Ben Sasse might as well leave the GOP - his 2020 Nebraska Senate re-election is DOA anyways. He won’t survive a GOP primary challenge in a state that President Trump carried by 25 points.
Even if he switched to DimRat or independent/3rd party, he’d still lose re-election in 2020.
There is talk that Sasse may instead of seek re-election to the Senate challenge President Trump in the 2020 GOP Presidential Primary. With Trump currently sitting at 90%+ job approval from Republicans Sasse can fight with fellow NeverTrump RINO’s Kasich and Flake for the 10% of Republicans who don’t approve of Trump’s performance as President.

I hope he loses the next primary and that when that time comes his primary challengers quickly point out how disingenuous it is to run as a Republican after making a statement that he may leave the very party that he is asking to re-elect him. That alone should be enough to ensure he never wins another GOP primary.
