Nasty storm, but beautiful photos !
Champion 4000 watt. Great reviews and quiet operation sold me.
We have 2 five gallon jugs filled. One tank is suppose to run 10-18 hours depending on to the load. I think we’re good.
Remember also that rain has saturated the ground. Up here in Maryland the ground is soaked. If we get any of this it will get ugly quickly.
Yep, the power outages suck. I was out for two weeks for...hell, I can’t remember which one, and then two weeks after Katrina. Getting gas was a nightmare. I had just bought a quarter of cow before Katrina. Keeping the freezer going was a top priority.
All will be getting the "Dirty side" since the storm will hit at a 90 degree angle instead of the usual glancing blow.Potential to be very mean.
The Open Frame Inverter?
did you type in your location, box in upper left ?
it’ll drop down what it thinks you meant, then click that result.
I’m considering a Champion pressure washer for next spring.
Sounds like a solid outfit w/real good reviews.
Good luck with your genny.
That was the lesson of Katrina: if you wait for the mandatory evac, the highway will be a parking lot.
Hopefully, all intelligent people have already filled their gas tanks, because the gas stations will be empty starting tomorrow (gas station managers may be reluctant to re-fill the station tanks if it looks like they might get flooded).
At least have the wife head out with the kids first.
My daughter and son-in-law are about 10 miles from the NC coast - they’re planning on making their way up here to PA tomorrow just to escape the thing.
Its ok. I just wanted others to see the ongoing thread as well. My post wasnt a jab, promise!
Yep. Got a better price at Tractor Supply, not this is the babe. https://www.amazon.com/Champion-4000-Watt-Digital-Inverter-Technology/dp/B01M3R711N/ref=asc_df_B01M3R711N/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198059306090&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7583331062932213244&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9010466&hvtargid=pla-404490739847&psc=1
Champion looks like a good product. Thanks
Yeah, it is damned if you do, damned if you dont. State and Fed officials have erred on the side of caution since Katrina and Joplin.
That is it! I may go to TSC tonight (even though I am far from hurricanes in E. Texas) (It’s just smart to have one).
I’m in Columbia and fairly well stocked.
No generator and am not that worried anyway. I might poke around the stores for the fun of it.
The traffic coming up from Charleston will get me since my place of toil is in Swansea. While I was on the way out, the chicken littles were meeting.
In all seriousness, the management is pretty good.
