A shadow government made up of former Obama climate change aides...funded by wealthy environmental advocates is supplementing liberal governors in an “off-the-books” operation to help them win approval of sweeping global warming changes and defy President Trump...In it’s “Government for Rent” report, the Competitive Enterprise Institute 'published' dozens of emails detailing the scheme.............
“The summit is 'part of a larger scheme', in which governors’ offices are coordinating with activists and donors, who in turn are underwriting a massive, 'off-the-books campaign' to provide staff and other resources to elected officials,” said CEI.
“The modus operandi revealed in the documents excerpted in this report entails seeding local and statewide elected offices with privately funded in-house staff members (governors’ staffs called them ‘refugees’ from the Obama administration). The objective is to house former National Security Council and State Department appointees to, as one email put it, ‘resume shaping the U.S. position on’ the energy and climate change agenda,” said the report.
And the goal is to make the issue, which has dropped in voter interest since Obama left office, a top priority in the 2018 and 2020 elections and one that liberals can use to attack Trump on.
“The documents show non-profit groups acting as well-compensated pass-through entities for donors to fund climate change work, directly hiring staff and providing other assets, in governors’ offices in California, New York, and Washington,”
In some cases, the shadow cabinet is run in offices directly next to state offices in Washington’s Hall of States complex three blocks from the Capitol.

Open record productions reveal that this summit is part of an ‘enormous’ climate industry that ‘funnels donor money through nonprofit organizations to staff up politicians’ offices.... This is done off the books, and the nonprofits take ‘a handsome percentage’ for serving as middlemen.

Socialist countries have shadow governments, which are acknowledged in their Media. I would like to see every political donation exposed and followed. I suspect we would find that many organizations from outside our country are propping up Democrats. ‘The World’ wants us to be Socialists so we will have to support failing Socialist countries, with OUR tax dollars.
It is my observation that if you want to make a lot of money, a good strategy is to work for one of these efforts that do not seek to make a profit. Seems like money just rolls around inside those places: everyone seems to get rich when profits don't matter.
On the other hand, working in the competitive marketplace, developing new ideas, making products that people want, and devising strategies to sell millions of items at a handsome markup -- there isn't nearly as much money to be made in an effort like that. Working for a company aimed at profits is a sucker's game.
The group includes 2118 businesses and investors, 280 cities and counties, 344 colleges and universities, 38 cultural institutions, 25 health care orgs, 31 faith groups, 10 states, and 9 tribes.

And I can only guess the world is too stupid to realize when we go broke from socialism they lose their support money.
Not much, when you consider:
a. how many businesses there are (millions)
b. how many cities and counties (10s of thousands)
c. how many colleges and universities (mostly Leftist anyway)
d. how many cultural institutions (like what?),
e. how many health car orgs (save the Children, Dr. without borders?).
f. faith groups (Satanists, Gaia worshippers?)
g. States (wow! 10 out of 50)
and h. tribes (Heckowee, Wopahoe?)
No, it's sedition. Although many of its members are also guilty of treason, or would be, given the opportunity.
