The last time I posted, I was accused of not giving enough information.
This is a live cam of Hurricane Florence
Look far out into the Atlantic ocean and watch the weather shift and the day come and go from 34 miles off the coast. Learn more about why this is called the "Frying Pan" live cam

It’s on MY link, a place called Frying Pan Island thirty something miles off the coast of South Carolina.

That flag was whole about ten or so minutes ago
I'm not watching continually, obviously, but the thing HAS to be woven out of steel wool !

So folks woke up, looked outside and decided to stay in bed ?
Of COURSE I'm joking.

That flag should not have been left out in such conditions.

You’d have to be a speed reading champion to follow the commentary. Sheesh, was a bunch of maroons inhabit the interwebs.

That place has moved up a couple of notches on my “Places I’d Really Rather Not Be” list. BTT
To: Paladin2
I wonder if anyone is in the Frying Pan tower right now. I wouldn’t risk it.

Thanks for the link. Three stripes (colonies) are being ripped off that flag. Hope that’s not a bad sign.
To: Paladin2
I bet it would be an adventure like no other if you spent the night tonight! :-)

How about waking up to it this morning ... “Sorry folks ..... shelter in place ... we can’t get to you until this is all over”

Me neither. I’ll bet that whole tower is creaking and swaying a bit.
I remember seeing a show on the History Channel about the ill-fated Texas Tower 4. People who were stationed on it before the final collapse said that the sounds it made in a storm were really scary.
OTOH, visiting Frying Pan Tower in good weather might be fun. A great chance to read, relax and get some sleep.
