Now that Paul Manafort has pleaded guilty, Mueller HAS to indict the Podesta brothers
The National Sentinel ^ | 9/14/18 | USA Features

Two Systems: As news reports noted Friday, a former campaign manager for POTUS Donald Trump, Paul Manafort, has pleaded guilty to failing to register as a foreign agent for Ukraine when he was doing some lobbying work on that country’s behalf.

Manafort decided to cooperate with special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe rather than face another trial and the prospect of several dozen more years behind bars following his first trial in which he was found guilty on a number of financial crimes.

But now that Manafort has pleaded, doesn’t Mueller now have to indict someone who had connections to Hillary Clinton’s campaign?

The answer is, of course, yes?

Didn’t they get immunity?

Someone posted that “there are foreshadowing references to the Podesta group in the court documents.”

Anyone got verification of this?

Mueller would go from leftist hero to zero real quick if he went after the Molesta Bros.

Of course Mueller should.
Will he?

Of course not.

Should he? Absolutely yes. Will he? I seriously doubt it.

I doubt it. Finding Manafort guilty (or accepting his plea) is “mission accomplished” for Mueller; his Trump investigation is practically moot at this point. Everything from here on out is prosecutorial discretion and he’ll just slowly fade from the scene, IMHO.

Mueller dosn’t have to do anything he doesn’t want to. Sessions is out of it and Rosenstein has Mueller’s back.

I think the answer could well be “no.”

On the surface, it will be because they did register, well after their activities, but before anyone called them out on it.

Of course, below the surface, the real reason will be that the Podestas are connected to Hillary and other powerful people for whom there is a much more understanding justice system.

I thought they were given immunity.

Clinton took immunity - normally something used to gain cooperation - and used it to shut people up. The guy who installed her homebrew server got immunity. Was told if he ever talked he’d be prosecuted.

Here’s the Manafort plea deal:

Podesta, Hillery, Obama, Lynch and others will not be indicted.

TigerClaws,
Thanks for posting hte link to the Plea Agreement. Interesting that Manafort had to give up his right for any further discovery of Muellar’s case against him, AND gave up his rights to any FOIA request for Government documents related to the case.

Muellar REALLY doesn’t want some of this to ever see the light of day. Protecting Podesta Bros., INC. I would bet.

All the Clinton party has, i believe, immunity. They surely will not be prosecuted for anything by Mueller. Their prosecution is likely a little further on by others for other things.

Prediction...The Podestas WONT be indicted. Too many “connections”, too much knowledge of where the “bodies are buried”. Wait and see.

The Podestas are members of “The Club”

No worries for them.

That is indeed the case, if we had a logical and functional Department of Justice. Sadly, we do not. We have a politically-motivated protection racket in DC instead of law enforcement.

Was their testimony used? If no, then there is no immunity. Immunity is for testimony, not a promise to testify.
