Source: Google Locks Down Access to Videos of ‘TGIF’ Meetings Following Breitbart Scoop
Breitbart ^ | 9/14/2018 | Allum Bokhari

Posted on 09/14/2018 10:18:58 PM PDT by RightGeek

Google has locked down access to archived recordings of its weekly all-hands “TGIF” meetings after Breitbart News published a video of the company’s dismayed reaction to the defeat of Hillary Clinton. The tech giant holds weekly all-hands meetings known as “TGIF” or “Thank God It’s Friday” (although they’re actually held on Thursdays), in which company executives address questions from employees.

...

A full recording of one of these meetings, conducted just days after the election of Donald Trump in 2016, was anonymously leaked to Breitbart News and was published earlier this week. The video features CEO Sundar Pichai, co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page, and VPs Kent Walker and Eileen Naughton dismayed and often emotional reactions to Donald Trump’s victory and the broader rise of populist nationalism. It can be watched in full here.

One of the consequences of Breitbart News’ scoop is that Google has now locked down general employee access to archived recordings of past TGIFs.

“The one negative is that they’ve now locked down access to past TGIF videos, which is inconvenient for a lot of us,” a Google employee told Breitbart News. “The most recent TGIF will still be available to view for a week, but there’s no access to the archive.

...

“They also used to let you livestream TGIF on your work laptops, but they stopped the livestreams after Kate Conger of The NY Times live-tweeted the first TGIF that Google held after the China story broke. Now you have to go to one of the designated rooms on campus to watch TGIF.”

Google needs to be broken up. If it was good enough for Standard Oil, Google is a much bigger monopoly than Standard Oil ever was.

Let's take the must-do moves one at a time:

<><> the tech companies should be broken up using existing anti-trust laws which are more than adequate for the task,

<><> they should be categorized as any other 1st Amendment platform, not an open forum,

<><> they should lose their Section 230 liability protections under the Communications Decency Act,

<><> all banned, suspended, shadow banned, or demonized conservatives should sue the panties off these weak-titted SJ fascists.

Finally we should sic the fashion police on them for their imbecilic headgear choices.

Google is in lock-down after Breitbart published a secret video of company honchos' dismayed reaction to Hillary Clinton's defeat.

Nice to savor the schadenfreude here.......the SJW's agita over her defeat.

Maybe a few of them had strokes, broke out in giant hives, or needed treatment for near-fatal heart attacks at the news?

I guess nervous eating of kale chips washed down with green smoothies did a lot to assuage the pain....ROTFLOL.

GOOGLE’S UNSETTLING VISION OF SILICON VALLEY SOCIAL ENGINEERING
This internal video from 2016 shows a Google concept for how total data collection could reshape society By Vlad Savov@vladsavov May 17, 2018

Google has built a multibillion-dollar business out of knowing everything about its users. Now, a video produced within Google and obtained by The Verge offers a stunningly ambitious and unsettling look at how some at the company envision using that information in the future. The video was made in late 2016 by Nick Foster, the head of design at X (formerly Google X) and a co-founder of the Near Future Laboratory.

The video, shared internally within Google, imagines a future of total data collection, where Google helps nudge users into alignment with their goals, custom-prints personalized devices to collect more data, and even guides the behavior of entire populations to solve global problems like poverty and disease.

When reached for comment on the video, an X spokesperson provided the following statement to The Verge: “We understand if this is disturbing -- it is designed to be. This is a thought-experiment by the Design team from years ago that uses a technique known as ‘speculative design’ to explore uncomfortable ideas and concepts in order to provoke discussion and debate. It’s not related to any current or future products.”

All the data collected by your devices, the so-called ledger, is presented as a bundle of information that can be passed on to other users for the betterment of society. Titled The Selfish Ledger, the 9-minute film starts off with a history of Lamarckian epigenetics, which are broadly concerned with the passing on of traits acquired during an organism’s lifetime. Narrating the video, Foster acknowledges that the theory may have been discredited when it comes to genetics but says it provides a useful metaphor for user data. (The title is an homage to Richard Dawkins’ 1976 book The Selfish Gene.) The way we use our phones creates “a constantly evolving representation of who we are,” which Foster terms a “ledger,” positing that these data profiles could be built up, used to modify behaviors, and transferred from one user to another:

“User-centered design principles have dominated the world of computing for many decades, but what if we looked at things a little differently? What if the ledger could be given a volition or purpose rather than simply acting as a historical reference? What if we focused on creating a richer ledger by introducing more sources of information? What if we thought of ourselves not as the owners of this information, but as custodians, transient carriers, or caretakers?”--snip---rest at source

Senior Google Scientist Resigns Over “Forfeiture of Our Values” in China......raised concerns that Google secretly developed
a Chinese search app for Android devices designed to remove content that China’s authoritarian government does not like.

Removing information about:

<><> political dissent,

<><> free speech,

<><> democracy,

<><> human rights,

<><> peaceful protest.

How convenient that Google had already designed that very same search app for Democrats.

Communist China can give thanks to Democrats and to Google.

“The Witch” had all assets of the federal government, directed by Barry Soetoro, including the CIA, NSA, DOJ, FBI, IRS and all alphabet agencies.
They were allied with Google, Facebook, Amazon and virtually all tech and communication companies.

They worked hand in glove with the MSM, 90% of the “News”.

They allowed millions of illegal votes.

They controlled what you were allowed to hear.

They threatened, intimidated those who spoke out, often with violence.

They listened to your phone calls.

They read your emails.

They raided your homes and businesses.

They destroyed lives.

Can anyone tell me exactly what Donald Trump and the Russians did to “hack” the Election?

AND SHE STILL LOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

at the 8:30 mark, the speaker says, “...all politics are global, goes the old phrase.”

Actually, the old phrase is “All politics are LOCAL.”

Apparently newspeak.

I admit I don’t understand the legalities of these issues, but how is this different from Bell Telephone? It was a private company, and a monopoly for the service provided.

I’m encouraged by the fact that this little guy’s question was sincere and rational.

Of course, the radical, nasties had to laugh at him, but it shows some semblance of civility, unknown in dem world.

“In the last couple of weeks, I’ve been challenged by Google when I do searches for Conservative information.”

I cannot get any background information (ethnicity and heritage - foreign born, etc.) on the CNN reporter who told Twitter to permanently suspend Alex Jones from Twitter. It is impossible to find his background, it has been scrubbed.

IBM has no idea that their systems would be used for the purposes the the Nazis used them for. Google is knowingly offering their services for such a purpose.
