Her invitation was a yes or no - not delay this until after the mid-terms. Seems like her answer is no. Then the R’s should vote next week and pass this to the Senate noting that the accuser wouldn’t testify. For that matter, a Committee vote isn’t even required. The Constitution only requires the Senate to advise and consent. The R’s should vote to confirm.

if she doesn’t accept their invitations, and the Judge has, let him defend himself. in public. on television. she would have had her chance.
