Of course there are unredacted original versions. Redaction is the process of taking unredacted documents and redacting. So you are right, providing copies of the originals should be as difficult as pushing the ‘PRINT’ function!

I totally know that; I worked for a City Attorney for a long time. I was taking in to consideration the fact that the FBI has no intention of turning over the originals. (It would be suicide for them.) And, even if they did turn over some originals, we wouldn’t know if they’d provide ALL the docs. You don’t know what you don’t know. The work-around might be via another agency, e.g., NSA, if they have access through a back door.
