As this is being floated by Sissy Sheldon from RI -- who is a loon, but a reliable loon in the loop -- it's clearly part of instructions from Schumer/Pelosi to throw some meat to the nutroot base.
Sure they would love to peel back Donnelly and ManChin. They've probably given Heidi enough cover to stay home and vote 'No'.
But Donnelly is going to lose either way, Heidi is probably going to lose, and ManChin will be close, and he'll be under a lot of pressure from his WV base to vote for Kavanaugh.

Why weren’t they working on getting him ‘impeached’ from his current gig? Why aren’t they working on ‘impeaching’ EVERY Judge on PDJT’s list of potential SCOTUS appointees? (Well, they kinda are...)

Honestly, I now believe the left is so far gone, that should they get an ironclad grip on this country, a genuine killing fields or cultural revolution would be within the realm of possibility.
Let's not kid ourselves. Despite the near miracle of DJT's election and the impressive accomplishments in less than 2 years, the left still controls effectively all the major institutions in this country. Including a sizable portion of the unelected federal government.
