[On The] Kavanaugh [Nomin.]: How The Republican Leadership Broke The Four Rules Of Crisis Management
Forbes [FFN] ^ | Sept. 23, 2018 | Steve Denning

Posted on 09/23/2018 6:48:10 PM PDT by Innovative

On July 9, 2018, Brett Kavanaugh was nominated to fill the place on the U.S. Supreme Court vacated by Justice Kennedy, with the prospect of ensuring a Republican majority for another generation.

However, in its actions over the last ten days, the Republican leadership has jeopardized its goals through its failure to respect the rules of crisis management:

Recognize the crisis as a crisis

Get out as much information as possible as soon as possible, particularly any negative information

Avoid saying anything that has to be withdrawn

Avoid doing anything that looks like a cover-up

Republicans caved to Democrat machinations.

The hearings were finished, no negative info was brought up, then, after it is all done, then the Dems are coming up with unverifiable, unfounded accusations, to stop Kavanaugh.

Republicans should step up, hold the vote and confirm Kavanaugh.

Unless Flake and the girls are willing to shut down the proceedings, the Chair is pretty much at their mercy.

This author is an idiot. He claims the Republicans violated "four rules of crisis management," but I have seen nothing they've done that fits any of these descriptions.

For example ... how are you supposed to get "all negative information" out early when THERE IS NONE?

What the heck? Get out as much information as possible, including negative information. But we have no information to get out, because Kavanaugh didn’t do anything.

So what do you do in “crisis management” when you are being blindsided, and the other side is simply making it up as they go along? Is there a crisis management guide for that situation????

Not a single one of those rules were broken.

Ridiculous. He says the allegation has become increasingly more credible. First the accused denied it. Then, one by one, each person named by the accuser as having been present denies it happened. One of those denying is a long-time friend of the accuser. In short, the accusation has been completely eviscerated.

Bingo. It’s like the allegations. You say it fast and people think something bad happened.

Example: I’m tired of hearing how the republicans mistreated Anita Hill. Democrats had a huge senate majority, and Thomas was approved by 11 democrats. Her story likewise was a nothingburger and no one believed her. She was treated with respect.

We just have an even filthier gang of democrat communists now.

The fema-nazis at work. Pathetic that this game man and his family has to
wait four five more days to even testify.

What Sen. Grassley needs to do is establish new rules to navigate this lawless shitstorm.

The only rule the repubs violated was the rule you should have a backbone if you are going to be in the senate. The dems have backbone in spades.

Grassley at age 85 is too young and inexperienced (35 years) and was taken off guard all the way.

This article is a hatchet job. Describing Dr. Ford as a respected and well known psychology professor. She is actually a little known run of the mill professor in a trade school university that only cranks out “clinical psychologists” using some kind of a link to Stanford University to claim a reputation probably not earned.

Then he describes Georgetown Prep as a haven of mysoginists populated by horn dogs and alcoholics, no doubt Kavanaugh being one of the archtypical students of this debauched institution. No single word on what was going on at Chrissy Blasey’s school, or should I said nunnery.

No need to read this nonsense, but unfortunately many of the clueless will read this and sign up for the lynch gang.
