I wonder if Toobin knows that most people in high school are minors.
Ford’s claim against Kavanaugh was when he was a minor. Not many people note this fact. The laws are different for minors, and rightly so, because they are not fully developed socially.
It’s shocking to me how little attention this fact is getting. I don’t think Kavanaugh’s defenders really want to go there because the better tack is that he didn’t do it. But I would argue that anything before 18 should be completely off limits, especially if there is no official record of it.
