Democrat Kate Brown and Republican Knute Buehler nearly tied, nonaffiliated voters lean toward GOP, in latest survey of likely voters

The governor's race between Democratic incumbent Kate Brown and Republican candidate Rep. Knute Buehler remains surprisingly close, according to a new poll.

The phone poll of 679 likely voters, held Sept. 20-23, shows that 41.7 percent would choose Brown, while 40.8 percent would vote for Buehler. The results have a 3.76- percent margin of error, according to Clout Research, an Ohio firm. The poll was commissioned by Leona Consulting Co., an Oregon conservative political and public affairs firm.

The new poll is a follow-up to a poll of likely voters released Aug. 1. That survey, also conducted by Clout and commissioned by Leona, showed that in a head-to-head contest between Brown and Buehler, he would win with 43 percent, Brown would receive 42 percent and the other 15 percent of respondents were undecided.

"Both Brown and Buehler win the support of about four of every five voters in their respective parties, but independent and non-aligned voters tilt heavily toward Buehler," said Fritz Wenzel, founder of Clout Research. "He wins 48 percent support among Independents, compared to just 23 percent of indies who support Brown – a remarkable show of strength for the challenger that mitigates the voter registration advantage that Democrats enjoy in Oregon."

That’s why Kate ‘slot licking’ Brown has flooded the state with illegal aliens(first sanctuary state) for occasions just like this...

It's only "tied" when the "R"s are 5 points up.

In so-called close races, it's always the Dems who win 9 times out of 10 thanks to "late returns", "absentee votes", and "found ballots". And the gutless, smarmy Republicans who never challenge it.

"Oh, you just found a suitcase full of uncounted ballots? Oh, jeez. We understand. That could happen to anybody …".

Cox will do much better than expected in CA. I was surprised as hell that we actually ended up with a pubbie on the ticket and not two Dems!!!

Once the dam breaks on Dr. Fraud’s whole manufactured swindle, we may be looking at a red tsunami.

I predict when Trump comes to AZ he’ll make a stop in Orange County too to help Cox and the Orange County Republican candidates. Maybe the amphitheaters in Costa Mesa or Irvine.

Oregon voters voted a decade ago to deny licenses to illegals, so we don’t have motor voter registration of illegals. And we elected a Republican Secretary of State who has spent the last two years purging the voter rolls.

I’m pretty comfortable that voter fraud has been minimized. The real problem is the number of voters who get government checks because they tend to vote blue.

I was at both Rallies Candidate Trump held in OC, the Amphitheater in Costa Mesa and the Anaheim Convention Center.

It would certainly help if he came back here considering the onslaught the GOP House Candidates are facing in OC.

Hillary won OC in 2016. Makes me Ill to think the People who live where I live could be so frigging stupid.

Motor voter is Kate’s signature issue. I remember her lauding the fact they signed up over a quarter of a million new voters in 2016 under the new law passed. Those aren’t all teenagers. Most of those are illegal aliens with fraudulent docs.

An initiative to overturn the sanctuary State laws is also on the ballot. It should pass.

lol. The crooked dem politicians DEPEND on illegal alien votes to stay in power. There is WHOLESALE VOTE FRAUD in Oregon. That’s why the west coast went for hillary—illegal aliens
