Ever since the Soviet Comintern decided to make martyrs out of Sacco and Vanzetti more than sixty years prior, leftists had made a practice of declaring the guilty innocent. Now they and their media allies were prepared to declare the innocent guilty and, if need be, imprison them to prove their point. The left’s brief Atticus Finch phase was over.
Alger Hiss, the Rosenbergs, Leonard Peltier, Mumia-Abu Jamal, Hurricane Carter -- guilty to a man, but now history. Clarence Thomas, Duke Lacrosse, George Zimmerman, Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, Officer Darren Wilson, Brett Kavanaugh, Donald Trump -- innocent, and now the future. There had been cases of the left punishing the innocent before Thomas, and many since, but the Thomas case was arguably the first in which the combined forces of the left knowingly defamed an innocent man on the main stage.
Although progressives have all but criminalized the skewering of their many sacred cows -- Islam, climate change, illegal aliens, LGBT, the poor -- no cows in their pantheon are as sacred as race and sex. They hit Thomas on sex. In 2006, they hit the Duke lacrosse team on the deadly trifecta of sex, race, and class.

Those who think a series of defeats like this would discourage the left fail to understand its end game. Given their control of academia and the media, progressives are confident the majority of Americans will see these seeming losses as further indictments of the American system --“No justice, no peace.”

It reminds one of taqiyya in Islam wherein lying for the furtherance of Islam is not only permitted, it is even admired.
Lying, cheating, stealing, destroying--for the furtherance of the Left--is just hunky dory. The bigger and better the lies, etc., the more admired the liars will be.
I saw someone on the interweb yesterday say "we now have a rapist on the Supreme Court. Women's lives everywhere are now in danger."
I guess Kavanaugh will now be wagging his willie in the faces of unsuspecting feminists from coast to coast. And just imagine his influence on Clarence Thomas. What a team they'll be!

Good article. One of the problems is that there is no downside for the left in carrying out these outrageous defamation and slander campaigns to achieve a political goal. At worst, they don’t succeed in totally destroying their target, but there’s never any negative consequences for them.
Of course, I can see why their victims just want to forget about the whole thing and not have to relive it by going through legal proceedings to seek redress for slander and defamation. But the left relies on this to confidently go about its work of personal destruction and the staging of show trials. Somehow, it’s got to be stopped.
The organizers of these these campaigns have got to be made responsible: for example, Diane Feinstein, in this most recent case. I hope the Senate goes ahead with an investigation of the - ahem, “leak” and the people behind it.

I wish them a lot of luck! Just maybe disgust, not to mention fear of having the left turn on them if they step out of line, will drive people out of the Dem party.

Fortunately for THE LEFT, THE RUGHT is busy with their jobs, family, kids activities, church, community functions, etc, and not the Soros funded crap going on. However, eventually that may change. And if/when it does things will become very interesting....

When reading Jack’s article, the proverbial question was raised in my mind - Which of these two forces drives the liberal agenda: 1) the propaganda news media or, 2) the Democrat Party? Rush maintains it is the leftist news media that actually sets the agenda for the Democrats. It’s an interesting question.
And I think the far Left--the loonie Left--is run (or at least funded) by a consortium of nuts like Soros, Steyer, and Acorn.

Exactly right. And this extends not only in the criminal sphere, but the Constitutional one as well. There is no censure, committee membership penalty, or other punishment.
What is that saying? What is not punished is permitted? (or something like that?)
I have always viewed it as primarily stemming from the Roosevelt Administrations, being somewhat quiescent through the Fifties (Sincere thanks to Joseph McCarthy for shining the light on part of that issue in a public way) then picking up steam in the Sixties.
But I think the big problem happened in the Seventies when the Sixties radicals cut their hair, put on suits, and took office.
The historical question is was the failed Kavanaugh effort the apex of the leftist effort to destroy America and take control of the government?
Roosevelt certainly paved the way for the Left.
But to your point...the radicals realized their message was not going to be accepted by blowing up stuff and protesting so they moved to the board room and the classroom.
