I’ve been watching “McHale’s Navy” on youtube.
They’ll say something like “We’ll clobber those Nips!” - and then look at their Jap POW that they have in their group and say “Sorry - present company excepted.”
BTW - whenever I talk about the Japs in WWII I use the term Japs. Of course today the Japanese are great friends - and I use the term Japanese.
