If the police need full auto. WE need full auto.

Maybe not full rock n roll which is wildly inaccurate unless using a bipod, but being able to select 3 round burst would be nice. Wonder if a burst mode would require same licensing as full auto ?

It does. Either way, it violates 2A. 2A says I can get whatever happy switch I want on my AR, government licensing schemes be damned.

Pretty sure it does. By ATF reg's, only one shot with each trigger pull is "allowed".

I would be happy with
https://fostech.us/
Fostech Echo Trigger
Fires once when you pull the trigger
And again when you release it
2 shots every trigger pull and release
And it is legal now

Yes, 3 round burst is NFA title 2 firearm. An M16a2 (Safe, Fire, Burst) cost a police department $1,000.00 on an ATF Form 10. A transferable to us mere civilians is $25,000.00 on a ATF Form 4.

They could be consecutively serial numbered, but all that matters is how the appear on the registry. Want to pay 25k for a mid-80s receiver delivered in 9 months when they can get a brand new one in a few days?

Full auto is very accurate in skilled hands. 3 round burst is considered a machine gun, same as full auto.

The police have full auto weapons by the tens of thousands as do dozens of non military federal agents. The American people do not have access to the same weapons available to the government. This is exactly the situation the founders were trying to prevent with the second amendment. In fact the second amendment as it applies today is specifically about the right of the people to possess machine guns without any restriction whatsoever as these are the weapons an oppressive government force will use against them. Just like the first amendment protects your right to chat openly about your favorite baseball team that's not the intent. The intent of the 1st amendment is to protect political speech. The second amendment is the same way. When a government force comes for your freedom they will bring a machine gun and nothing less. It is imperative the American people be armed accordingly.
