#metoo movement credited for 50 percent increase in sexual harassment lawsuits, EEOC says

WASHINGTON, D.C. - In the wake of the #metoo movement, more people are filing sexual harassment claims against their employers, according to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

So far this year, the agency filed 66 harassment lawsuits, including 41 with allegations of sexual harassment, a more than 50 percent increase over the previous year.

“One of the overarching concerns that I’ve had over this past year is that with so much focus on these big celebrity-driven and media-driven pieces, (it might get lost that) the people who come to the EEOC are in mom-and-pop shops and small companies and everyday companies,” Victoria A. Lipnic, acting chair of the agency, told The Washington Post. “This stuff happens everywhere. If you don’t address it in your workplace, you could find yourself on the receiving end of a federal enforcement."

While overall, charges on all bases of discrimination are down, sexual harassment numbers are up 12 percent from the previous year as well, Lipnic said.

Femists have defined harassment down so far that any woman who gets her feeling hurt for some reason or other can claim they were harassed. And many do. It cheapens he plight of real victims of real abuse, as all cases of frivolous claims do. It also hurts women, because increasingly men are avoiding contact with them in professional settings.

The most sinister thing about this is that you can follow the Pence doctrine for years: never be alone in a room with a women other than your wife. But a woman can come forward and say "You were in a room alone with me 15 years ago, or maybe 17 or 20. Whatever. You said my blouse looked nice and I felt like a piece of meat. I've been traumatized ever since". You stammer "that never happened! And what's so bad about saying your blouse looked nice anyway?" Media jumps in. "So you are defending making unwanted comments about a woman's appearance, are you? Did you not see that she cried? We all know that women only cry if it's serious and they are telling the truth, that's just science. She's credible. And you're comments were rude and abrasive, by the way. Clearly you have anger management issues. Guilty."

The LEFT destroyed #MeToo. They weaponized it to get Trump and Kavanaugh and it backfired. Secondly, most #MeToo is high profile left on left sex crimes so the left is not too sorry for it to just fade away like most idiotic hashtags go.

That’s true but I like taking that word to use against the lefties because it makes them really upset. they think they are so much holier than thou and hate the comparison with one of their most hated enemies. And I like seeing lefties get outraged. So I use it in even though it’s unfair to McCarthy. He was a patriot, I’m sure he’d understand.
