It runs into a lot of money because drug criminalization restricts the market to criminals. Alkies don't apparently do a lot of stealing to feed their habit, because their drug is legal thus relatively cheap.
the libertarians are here. thread dead. common sense will now leave the building.
Which part(s) of my post was factually incorrect?
stop signs are in danger.
Cartoonish misrepresentation.
you obviously know nothing of the illegal drug business.
I don’t know anything about it. You are correct. Never did drugs in my life. Still, the issue is the death penalty for Drug Dealers. We just had a debate on the Supreme Court for Judge Kavanaugh and the Republicans on principle were correct. Equal application of the Law, Due Process, presumption of innocence.
You clearly stated Miss Johnson should have gotten the Death Penalty, I disagree. More importantly, it is what you did not say. All of these White rich kids dying from Opioids, heroin, etc. Do you think it is only Black drug dealers pushing this crap? Yes, they are dealing in the Hood, but it is a lot of Rich Whites dealing these drugs in rich white areas. Do you think a rich White kid whose parents are a CEO, Lawyer, Doctor, etc are going to get the death penalty for dealing drugs? No way in Hell that is happening.
So if I am going to be true to Constitutional principles and the Republican Party is going to true to those, as they correctly were in the Judge Kavanaugh Hearing, I (they) need to be consistent in all aspects of the law.
Black drug dealers getting death penalty and whites getting lighter sentences, probation, etc, for the similar crimes is not consistent application of due process, presumption of innocence and equal application of the law.
And I again, I stand by my basic position, the Death penalty is only applicable, in my opinion, for 1st degree murder.
Fry them all regardless of color. They are destroying the country
Well, while I disagree, at least you are consistent on your application of the law. That in essence was my major point.
