I’ll never forget the time Chris Matthews subbed for Rush. Oh, what a world.
Yes, I remember that, too. Seems weird looking back at it now. But at the time, Matthews was considered to be at least somewhat conservative-leaning. The things that came out of his mouth were a bit more circumspect and balanced. He had Rush fooled for awhile.

Hard to believe there was a time this guy could actually hold a coherent thought. Maybe moderate left but he wasn’t always as insane as in recent years.
