A top spokesman for the Tennessee Democratic Party's effort to get Phil Bredesen elected senator has said he views "white male" gun owners as "the biggest terrorist organization on the planet."

Brown's extreme views on Republicans were showcased this summer by the Free Beacon, which identified numerous inflammatory posts on social media. In one post Brown wrote, for example, "F**k reaching out to Trump voters, The idiots aren't listening."

So, does Bredesen:

1. Agree,
2. Disagree and point out that everyone has a right to their own opinion including his staff, volunteers, and supporters, or
3. Disagree and fire or accept the resignation of his spokesman.

I figure he'll pick 1 or 3. In a similar situation, President Trump would go with 2. I note this to point out that he seems okay with different opinions, uses them to his advantage, even trolls with them. Not a traditional politician.

My point is that we can’t run from every comment people say around us. The guy’s remark is offensive, yes, absolutely. But he is not running for office. It does though put Bredesen on the spot and will be interesting to see which way he turns or scurries.
