After signing the bill, Trump turned the microphone over to the musicians. As Kid Rock stepped to the mic, he said “Uh oh, I got the mic,” to laughter from the room. Trump said, “This could be good” in response.

“I’d just like to bring it up that there’s a whole lot of people in this country that do give you a lot of credit for everything you’ve been doing for this country,” Kid Rock said. Trump proceeded to thank him for the kind words.

Kid Rock pointed to the media and said, “We know that some people don’t give it to you as much as maybe they should sometimes.”

Is the music industry going to acknowledge that President Trump did what Clinton, GWB, and Obama couldn’t or wouldn’t do? That is giving artists revenue when their work generates profits. And how about the open door for those who have something to discuss? Are they really thinking about how bad off they’ll all be if it’s “back to the plantation”, in a “guilty until proven innocent” world? Because that’s what the dems have in store for them.

Try this link out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLogqyfUHHs

I wasn’t a fan of his either in his early work. (except for bah wit the bah) Since then his music has expanded. He’s now kind of like a modern day Ted Nugent, plus he’s got a great sense of humor. His part in “Joe Dirt” was hilarious. One thing that made me look at him with a different eye is when he did a USO tour when I was deployed to Kuwait.

I don’t think I can name a single song he’s done, but I always thought he did some sort of rap/rock type stuff.

Now I love rock of course, but I HATE rap!

He grew up in Detroit listening to Southern rock, but as a teenager got gigs as a DJ doing mostly black house parties, which meant doing rap. But he would rap to the rock songs that he grew up with. People liked it and it became his own style. They would say “that white kid rocks”, which is where he got his name.

I remember his first appearance on SNL. I hadn’t seen anybody that stupid looking as a musical guest on that show since Boy George (with Culture Club) wearing a flour sack dress and bowler hat.
